Message of Greetings from the Workers Party Of Ireland to the Communist Front (Italy)
The Communist Front (Fronte Comunista) is an Italian Marxist-Leninist party founded in 2021. Its stated objective is to "play a role in the regrouping and unification of revolutionary forces into a communist party that is strong, consistently Marxist-Leninist, homogeneous ideologically and politically, clear and consequential in tactics and strategy, adequate to the historical phase in which we live and to the struggles that await the workers against the indiscriminate attacks of the employers' front" . The Front of Communist Youth joined the Communist Front In November 2023, the Communist Front participated in the formation of the European Communist Action. Its excellent website can be read here .
MESSAGE OF GREETINGS FROM THE WORKERS PARTY OF IRELAND TO THE COMMUNIST FRONT (ITALY)

Dear comrades,
The Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland (WPI) sends warm greetings to the Communist Front of Italy on the occasion of its 2nd Congress being held in Rome from May 22 to 24, 2026.
Our Party appreciates the close comradely relations between our two parties and the principled stance of the Communist Front in defending and promoting the principles of proletarian internationalism and Marxism-Leninism.
The working class still faces the consequences of capitalist crises. Rapidly rising prices for food, fuel, housing, education and other essentials are devastating working-class communities, making it increasingly impossible for millions of people to make ends meet. Workers face the prospect of unemployment, low wages, precarious work and attacks on social and labour rights. Capitalism cannot solve the problems facing humanity. Real change can only be delivered through a change in the social order, by ending the capitalist system.
Proletarian internationalism lies at the heart of our ideology. Imperialism is a consequence of capitalist competition. The ever-growing imperialist threat, inter-imperialist rivalries, increasing militarisation and warmongering and continuing and sustained capitalist exploitation and oppression pose great dangers for the future of the planet. The attacks by the US and Israel against the Palestinian people, Lebanon, Iran and throughout the region and the imperialist interventions and threats against Cuba and Venezuela expose the face of imperialism.
The growing threat of fascism and far-right movements must be challenged and defeated. Fascism is a symptom of the political and structural crisis of capitalism. It is one manifestation of capitalist power and will exist so long as capitalism exists and can only be defeated by a revolutionary working class. Under a capitalist system that fosters inequality, ecological destruction, and social decay, that prioritises profit over people, drives imperialist wars and global conflicts, as nations compete for resources and markets, it is only socialism-communism that offers a solution.
The Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland extends its solidarity and wishes every success to the Italian communists in the work of their 2nd Congress and believes that this will reaffirm our common conviction that the conditions confronting humanity and our planet will only be overcome by revolutionary change. Our Party believes that this Congress will further strengthen the Communist Front’s ideological, political, and organizational capacity to lead the working class in the struggle for that change and the creation of a socialist-communist future.
