The Communist Revolutionary Party of France was founded in 2016 and is a member of European Communist Action, of which the Workers Party is also a member.
The PCRF Party Program , in part, states:
"The working people of France have a centuries-old history of struggles for their emancipation (French Revolution, Paris Commune - the first proletarian revolution in the world -, Popular Front, Resistance, May 1968, etc.). But capitalist exploitation remains, generating class oppressions from which racist and sexist oppressions flow. . Unemployment and precariousness are massive, the cost of living continues to rise, wages and pensions are frozen, public services are being dismantled and privatized, the environment is degraded, and rights to health, education, culture, housing, and retirement are being violated. Since 1973, capitalism has experienced an extraordinary worsening of its general crisis, and it is the working people, retirees, and young people who are bearing the brunt. ...The building of the Party is a long and difficult process to which the PCRF intends to contribute without sectarianism or hegemony with regard to the other components of the Communist Movement of France, but on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and the necessary Bolshevization of organizations."
Dear comrades,
The Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland (WPI) sends warm fraternal greetings to our comrades in the Parti Communiste Revolutionnaire de France (PCRF) for a successful Congress.
Your Congress takes place at a crucial time not just for France, home of the Great Revolution that first demonstrated the emergence of modern revolutionary politics and the potential of popular action to achieve the unimaginable, but for the world. The people of France overturned the existing social and political order determined to create a government and society of equality, governed by the people in their interests.
The revolutionary spirit of the Jacobins and the sans-culottes spread rapidly among the people of Ireland, who through the Society of the United Irishmen sought to revolutionise Ireland with French help. The Workers Party of Ireland owes part of its ideological and organisational roots to that heroic and inspirational period.
As Lenin stated, the memory of the fighters of the Paris Commune is not only honoured by the workers of France but by the proletariat of the whole world, for the Commune did not fight for any local or narrow national aim, but for the freedom of toiling humanity, of all the downtrodden and oppressed.
Accordingly, it gives our Party special pleasure to send our solidarity to our comrades in France in the PCRF and we salute the role you are playing in maintaining the proud Communist tradition in France, in opposing the rise of the fascists as they receive increasing support from the bourgeoisie, and in providing an alternative to the destructive politics of the right-wing and the social democrats.
The ever-growing imperialist threat, increasing militarisation and warmongering and continuing and sustained capitalist exploitation and oppression pose great dangers for the future of the planet and its people.
Meanwhile, as the Palestinian people continue to resist Israeli brutality, apartheid and genocide, we express our solidarity with the Palestinian people in their just cause. The Workers Party of Ireland joins the Revolutionary Communist Party of France in saluting the dockers of Fos-sur-Mer, who, at the call of their CGT union, refused to load 19 pallets of Eurolink machine gun parts bound for Israel.
The working class is facing a crisis that will have long term and very serious consequences making it increasingly impossible for millions of people to live. Workers face the prospect of unemployment, low wages, precarious work and attacks on social and labour rights.
The WPI applauds the initiative of the PCRF in its national campaign "Let's Accuse Capitalism", linking the daily demands of the working class to the necessity of the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism and the building of Socialism-Communism.
Capitalism cannot solve the problems facing humanity. Real change can only be delivered through a change in the social order, by ending the capitalist system. The working class, whose labour power is the source of all wealth in society, must take control of the system of production and resources, to create a new social order to meet the needs of all.
The Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland extends its solidarity to our French comrades in their continuing struggles. We salute your internationalism and role in European Communist Action in combating warmongering and exploitation at home and abroad.
We wish you every success as you study the work and successes of your Party in recent years and build for the coming struggles at your Congress. Our Party looks forward to further developing the work between our two parties and our respective youth organisations.
We wish you continued success in your work and the common struggle for peace, democratic and workers’ rights and socialism.
Long live proletarian solidarity!
Long live Marxism-Leninism!
For Workers’ Power and Socialism!
Workers of the World Unite!
Yours in communist solidarity,
Ted Tynan, President
Gerry Grainger, International Secretary
Central Executive Committee
